What to Expect

Our desire is that the people who make Christ the King their home would experience the Word of God in a powerful way. Primarily, our preaching moves through whole books of the Bible, one passage each Sunday, so that we can get the full benefit of understanding God in his Word. We do occasionally preach a series based on a specific theme or topic, but we always try to ground the message on a concrete portion of Scripture. We want God's Word to be the foundation for all of the teaching done at Christ the King, both when we gather on Sundays and anywhere else that has a teaching component in our church life.

We do not only seek to learn about God, but also to actively worship Him. One way we express this is through our music together on Sunday mornings. Whether you have never   sung before or if music is a part of your everyday life, we invite you to sing to God with us each Sunday. Our music selection is diverse, just as the people in the room are diverse.

Children's classes are available during the school year for students grades K-5. Our service begins with children and parents together for announcements and worship, and then children are dismissed to their classes along with their volunteer teachers. Child Care is provided throughout the service for children 6 months - 4 years old. For more information, contact us at

There is no dress code at Christ the King. You can wear your Sunday best, or you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We invite you to come as you are!

Our people come from a range of social, ethnic and economic backgrounds from all over Kenosha. The whole city is invited! Our size on Sunday mornings ranges from around 150-200 people in attendance.

We provide members and regular attenders with an opportunity to give to our church each Sunday morning. We believe this is an act of faith and worship to God, and we celebrate its importance! However, if you are a newcomer to Christ the King, you come into our home as a guest. You are not expected to give an offering. Giving is for those who have made Christ the King their home!
